Rooted in Love

“For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith–that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:14-19

This weekend Andre and I went to a training conference hosted by our adoption agency. I came back soaring on cloud nine. It was such an encouraging time being surrounded by families that are following the same steps, as well as the people that are working so diligently to help us complete this process! Everyone we spoke to was so excited to swap stories about where we are in our adoption processes. It was beautiful to see how God is building families in His name, rooted in love.

At this point, we are SO CLOSE to submitting our dossier!! Three more documents to go! We were able to hand deliver the majority of our notarized and apostilled documents while at the conference. If everything moves quickly and efficiently from this point, we could be HOME by Christmas! As I have been reminded by my sweet and loving husband, expectation management. It has been difficult to not daydream about having the sweet Christmas present of being a mama.

As for who we are adopting, we have put in a letter of intent for a sweet little girl! With how things move in the adoption world, nothing is for sure. At this point, we are praying for her and for ourselves to potentially be her parents. Join us in praying for our family. God knows exactly what our family picture will look like at Christmas as well as in the years to come.
